This week two of our teachers and six of our students have been to Spain to take part in our Erasmus + project ‘The Wonderful Green World’. The aim of project is to improve students’ knowledge about different biome and compare knowledge and findings regarding environmental issues whilst improving their foreign language skills.
The meeting was hosted by teachers and students from our Spanish partner school ‘Institut Montbui’. Students and teachers from our Slovakian and Polish partner Schools also attended the meeting.
The trip consisted of a variety of educational visits, workshops and cultural exchanges including a welcome reception at the Montbui Institut, an afternoon of sightseeing in Barcelona, two days in Barruera where students attended workshops organised by Val de Boí Environmental school and visited Aigüesstortes National Park, a visit to an organic farm in Taüll, an Ethnobotanical workshop and a visit to the Barcelona botanical gardens.
During the trip our students and teachers were required to work in international teams giving them the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about different cultures whilst improving their foreign language skills.
