ERASMUS+ – A focus on tourism industry – From Courmayeur to LILLEHAMMER

– Climb to the top of Lillehammer ski jumping arena ⛷️ Over 900 steps!

– Team building at @lillehammer_vgs with Norwegian students 💪🏻

– Movie night 🍿
– Cooking at the hostel 🍝

Today our students and the students from the @lillehammer_vgs visited two different ski resorts: @hafjell and @kvitfjellalpinanlegg 🏔️⛷️
They learned about the development of ski resorts in the Lillehammer area before and after the 1994 Winter Olympics and about the new challenges that owners and managers have to deal with now in order to react and adapt to climate change 🔁

Today our students learnt to help each other out, try new experiences and get out of their comfort zone 🤟🏻
They went cross country skiing from Nordseter to Birkebeiner ski stadium and then down to Lillehammer with teachers and students from @lillehammer_vgs ⛷️❄️

They also shared a nice barbecue in the snow with Norwegian and German students 🍔🌭

For the last day, our students spent the morning creating videos about the climate change effect in the Lillehammer area 🏔️🔁
They then visited the Lillehammer Olympic Museum where they enjoyed the biathlon simulator 🥇🎿

One last meal was shared with the Norwegian students at school before saying goodbye to Lillehammer and see each other again in a few days in Courmayeur!

Later, it was time for a tour of the city guided by some @lillehammer_vgs students 📍

Today our students spent the day in Oslo! They saw the city skyline from the top of the Opera House 🌆 and visited the Munch Museum where they created their own work of art, played some video games and saw the ‘Skrik’ 😱
For their last dinner together, they cooked at the hostel and shared a game night to win dessert 😋

An extra unexpected day in Norway 😅
Today Oslo airport closed down because of a snow storm 🌨️
Our students’ flight back home was cancelled and at first it seemed they had to spend the night at the airport 😴
Luckily our Norwegian friend Tove came to the rescue finding them a super hotel to stay where to rest waiting for tomorrow flight ✈️
